Backlit Signage

Farm Boy Westboro was the first “Urban Concept” store we opened. Our CEO and Marketing Director were looking for a new design to show our classic exterior fruit and vegetable “woodcuts”, to be able to integrate our classic visuals in a modern urban layout.

Given the request, I created the proposal, design, material selection and illumination concept. Worked closely to our Engineering team to ensure structure could hold the graphics, and be able to have electrical requirements at time of installation.

Specifications:

• Alupanel frame construction with 2” thick frame

• Recessed LED light strips behind woodcuts to create

halo effect during night time

• 4” Metal pans shaped to hold woodcut designs

• Acrylic facings with printed woodcuts on

translucent vinyl

• LED strips on metal pan base, to illuminate the

woodcuts during night time

• Middle frame centred to total width of windows, side

frames evenly spaced
